Beskrivelse: The funeral, in Aubervilliers, on June 13, 1952, of Hocine Belaïd, a municipal worker mortally injured during the portest against Ridgway and who died on May 28, 1952. In front of the coffin with a huge portrait of the victim, the mayor of Aubervilliers, Charles Tillon, gave a speech (unfortunately the film is silent). An imposing and emotional crowd followed the hearse to the cemetery where Charles Tillon presented his condolences to the widow and relatives of the deceased. Many immigrant workers, North Africans and black people, were present in the procession. Among the wreaths: those of the P.C.F. and the tanners' union. Last sequence: a poster inviting "the people of Paris to pay a last homage to Hocine Belaïd, on Friday, June 13, in the house of the people, 13 rue Pasteur in Aubervilliers."
